A manufacturer of lightning rods came to us with a unique challenge. Their lightning rods, in extreme cold weather, when coated with ice, would snap and break. To solve the problem, we developed a spring that would allow the rod to bend when weighed down with ice, and then spring back into place once the ice melted.
